This job involved the removal of a large Monterey cypress (Macrocarpa) in Fareham. Over the years, the tree had been heavily pruned, which altered its structure, making it more vulnerable to failure. Previous storms had caused sections to break, and it was becoming a safety risk.
To ensure a safe and efficient removal, we used a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) and rigging techniques to carefully lower large sections without damaging the surrounding area. The tree was taken down in two days, with a third day needed to process the timber. The customer chose to keep all the wood, while we chipped and removed all the brash material, leaving the site clean and tidy.
